YWCA Empty Bowls fundraiser begins

In partnership with the Kawartha Potters Guild and event sponsors Kawartha Cardiology Clinic, Cornerstone Family Dentistry, Pure Country 105 and Move 99.7 and Cambium, the YWCA is offering pre-booked, half-hour time slots continuing on Saturday and Sunday at the Kawartha Potters Guild’s pottery shop at 993 Talwood Dr. in the west end of Peterborough.

Only six ticket holders at a time can visit and choose from hundreds of unique bowls, created and donated by talented local artisans.

Visitors and volunteers must wear masks and maintain physical distancing. Hand sanitizing stations are available on entry and exit.

This year the bowls are literally empty. Food won’t be available when ticket holders pick up their bowl, participants will receive a coupon card with discounts from 18 participating restaurants. (Read more…)
