Board Bios
Ena D’Altroy
Ena D’Altroy is a seasoned and certified HR leader with over a decade of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion. She has held key positions such as Senior Manager of DEI at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, Manager of Communications and Culture at United Way of Toronto, and is currently the Director of People and Culture at the Canadian Mental Health Association HPE. As a refugee herself, Ena brings a global perspective to her work, backed by a BA in Anthropology. Dedicated to fostering inclusive environments, Ena is also skilled in reconciliation work and accessibility.
Dana Capell
As a longtime supporter, Dana Capell is thrilled to join the Board and contribute to the YWCA. With over ten years of experience on not-for-profit boards, Dana brings to her work at the YWCA a passion for social justice and a keen appreciation for the breadth of the organization’s mission and programming. In her professional life, Dana works as a Senior Education Developer at Trent University. In her free time, Dana loves to cook, travel and read mysteries (she is always eager to hear about your favourite authors!).
Mandana Kamali
Mandana Kamali is a compassionate advocate for human rights, with over three decades of dedicated humanitarian work. As an individual from a minority who faced significant discrimination and adversities in her home country, she has been actively engaged in women and children support activities. Holding a Master’s degree in Curriculum Development and certifications in Mediation and Positive Psychotherapy, Mandana combines academic knowledge in education with hands-on experience to support families in every situation she can. Committed to the power of community and drawing on her extensive experience in community-building activities for children and juniors, Mandana has forged strong collaborations with global NGOs, local institutes, and grassroots organizations. Passionate about improving others’ lives, Mandana exemplifies empathy and dedication, continuously working to inspire and drive positive change in the refugee landscape.
