Peterborough, ON — March 17th, 2026 — This just in, registration is now officially open for this year’s Walk a Mile in Their Shoes event!
If you’re looking for a fun way to make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of women and children experiencing the effects of gender-based violence, then Walk a Mile is for you. A long-time fundraising event, for YWCA Peterborough Haliburton, the day is a chance for staff to meet for a predetermined walk around downtown Peterborough. Here, participants can experience the event as either solo walkers, or as part of an organized team.
So, grab your friends, family, and coworkers and join us on May 22nd, 2026 at Confederation Park and find a welcoming community, memorable talks, refreshments, and fun at this year’s Walk a Mile in Their Shoes event!
