COVID-19 Update: YWCA Peterborough Haliburton support and crisis services for women who experience violence are still available. Crossroads Shelter, HERS – Haliburton Emergency Rural SafeSpace and our 24 Hour Support & Crisis Line remain open.
While our offices are closed to the public to help flatten the curve, our support teams are working remotely and will continue to provide assistance by phone, text and email during regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm). View our full update here.
What if we could prevent violence before it happens?
What if girls and boys were able to clearly recognize what healthy relationships look and feel like, in all areas of their lives? And what if they felt empowered to take action, should things start to go off course?
Our Youth Program provide safe spaces where youth can ask critical questions, find practical supports and learn to identify, foster and maintain healthy relationships throughout their lives.
Through interactive activities with educated facilitators, both on and offline, participants develop critical thinking skills and foster their agency.
Programming designed for all youth, or specifically for female or male identifying youth, is available throughout Peterborough and Haliburton County.
New participants are always welcome!
