COVID-19 Update: YWCA Peterborough Haliburton support and crisis services for women who experience violence are still available. Crossroads ShelterHERS – Haliburton Emergency Rural SafeSpace and our 24 Hour Support & Crisis Line remain open.

While our offices are closed to the public, our support teams are working remotely and will continue to provide assistance by phone, text and email during regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm). View our full update here.

YWCA’s rent-geared-to-income housing community provides safe, accessible homes for women-led families who have been impacted by gender-based violence.

We offer 40 townhouse units to women and children who could benefit from permanent housing. Our 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom units are restricted by our lease to women-led households only and are smoke free.

Our on-site Transition Support Worker provides women and their children with ongoing access to longer term support, as well as youth engagement programming.

To operate the breadth and depth of services we provide for women and children, we rely on donor generosity. To find out more about how you can help women and children build new lives, please contact us.
