YWCA Peterborough Haliburton is seeking dynamic women to join the organization’s Board of Directors.
“We need women who will take a strong role in planning a sustainable future for the YWCA’s life-saving programs. We need women who want to get involved and try new things, and who have about ten to twelve hours a month to contribute,” says Neera Jeyabalan, President of YWCA Peterborough Haliburton Board of Directors. “Being passionate about women’s issues is important, but it isn’t enough. We’re looking for women who want to change the world – starting right here in our own community.”
“YWCA Peterborough Haliburton believes in diversity and is actively seeking women of all backgrounds, abilities and ages,” says Jane White, Chair of the Nominating Committee. “We value diverse skills and experiences, and we’re particularly interested in receiving expression of interest from women with skills and experience in finance, human resources, strategic planning and governance. Young women, Indigenous women and women living in rural areas are also encouraged to apply.”
