Young Women’s Community Action Day – Committee Meeting

To mark Canada’s 150th birthday, YWCA Peterborough Haliburton is creating a youth project to plan and deliver a Young Women’s Community Action Day (YWCA Day) event that showcases Canadian women’s history, culture and heritage!

This project is open to all youth who are 14 to 29 years of age who will come together over the next 2 months to plan and deliver a YWCA Day event.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, have fun and learn about the incredible contributions women have made in Canada. All activities, events and transportation will be covered.

Time commitment:

  • 3 meetings which will be 1.5 hours each or less
  • 1 Field Trip or guest speaker (chosen by the youth)
  • 1 YWCA Day Event held before March 31st, 2017 (completely planned by youth)
